The things people ask first
Will this get my main account banned?
No. The build connects to our own servers and never talks to the official ones, so nothing about your play here is visible to them. It installs under a different package name, which means it sits beside the official app rather than replacing it.
Do I need to root my phone?
No. Root has never been required. On Android you allow installs from your browser once, then the APK installs like any other app. On iOS you install the profile and trust it in Settings.
Why does my antivirus flag the APK?
Because it is not signed by the original publisher, which is exactly what a modified build looks like to a scanner. Check the SHA-256 shown on the download page against the file you downloaded — if it matches, you have the file we published.
Does my progress carry over between updates?
Yes. Accounts live on the server, not in the app, so installing a new build keeps your trophies, skins and settings. The one exception is a ranked reset, which we announce in the changelog.
Can I play with friends who are on the official game?
No — the two are separate networks. Your friends need the same build to appear in your custom room.
